Meet 22 June 2023 Written Update: Vani and Abhay’s ‘Roka’ takes place
Abhay and Vani’s alliance is finalised and later, their ‘roka’ takes place. Masoom praises Sumeet. Shagun shows her and Sumeet’s birth charts to a sage. Shlok tells Sumeet that he is the wonder boy.
In the previous episode of Meet, Sumeet talks to Shagun about Abhay and Vani’s alliance. Later, she faints while trying to fulfill a condition given by Shagun to approve of the alliance. Shlok gives Sumeet a piece of good news.
In the latest episode of Meet, Raj becomes enraged when he sees Sumeet hugging Shlok and confronts him aggressively. Shlok raises his hands in surrender, trying to calm Raj down. Sumeet quickly intervenes, explaining to Raj that Shlok came to deliver the news of Abhay’s mother accepting their alliance, which caused her excitement and led to the hug. Raj apologizes to Shlok, expressing his concern for his sister’s safety. As Shlok leaves to avoid any awkwardness, Vani praises Sumeet for making the alliance possible. Masoom smiles at Sumeet and approaches her, placing Meet’s watch back on her wrist. She assures Sumeet that she has proven herself to be Meet’s daughter, despite her youthfulness, while Raj stands proud of his sister. Later, Sumeet reflects on the money she earned from selling flowers as part of Shagun’s task, and Shlok calls her, remarking on the coincidence of their interaction despite attending the same college. He informs her that they will meet the next day at the Roka ceremony and ends the call. Meanwhile, Shagun gazes at photographs of Meet, Manmeet, Sumeet, and Raj with revengeful eyes, blaming them for her unfulfilled dreams. The following day, Abhay’s family arrives for the Roka, but Masoom asks about Abhay’s mother. Abhay’s father explains that Shagun had made a wish to not leave the house until she sees Abhay’s bride enter their home. Meanwhile, Sumeet and Shlok exchange smiles and Sumeet assists him in carrying the gifts inside. Outside, she shows Shlok her mother’s bike and requests him to teach her how to ride it as a way to honour her mother’s memory. Masoom, unconvinced by Abhay’s father’s explanation, confides in Raj about her concerns regarding Vani’s potential unhappiness if Abhay’s mother is angry. Just then, they notice that one gift pouch is missing from the basket, which Sumeet had given to Shlok as a token of gratitude. Raj notices and is about to question Shlok when Pandit Ji announces the perfect matching of Abhay and Vani’s horoscopes. Meanwhile, at Shagun’s house, she consults her Pandit Ji to match her own “Kundali” with Sumeet Sangwan, her future daughter-in-law. To her delight, the priest reveals that Sumeet’s future is fraught with troubles and she will be reduced from a queen’s status to a servant, leaving Shagun with a wicked smile as she imagines Sumeet polishing a shoe. At Ahlawat’s house, Abhay’s father receives a message from Shagun, declaring that the most auspicious date for Vani and Abhay’s wedding is in seven days. Masoom expresses concern about the preparations being done quickly. The following day, at college, Sumeet asks Shlok to teach her how to ride a bike, but she struggles and admits it is not as easy as it seems. Suddenly, she notices a concert poster for Wonder Boy and asks Shlok about him since he is promoting the concert. Shlok wears a helmet and asks Sumeet to choose one of his fingers before spinning the bike around her and singing one of Wonder Boy’s songs. Sumeet becomes ecstatic and overjoyed, and Shlok eventually stops the bike, admitting he had to give in to her request. Later, Shlok hangs out at his friend’s shop, where they question what he will do once Sumeet discovers he is not the actual Wonder Boy. Infatuated by Sumeet’s smile, Shlok confidently declares that two days are enough for him.
