Atkan Chatkan is an inspiring film which is directed by Saumyy Shivhare and presented by AR Rahman. The movie was released on the OTT platform on 5 September 2020. The movie teaches us to never give up in life and have a burning passion for dreams. The story of Atkan Chatkan is about a young boy Guddu who sells tea and earns his livelihood. Guddu aspires to become a musician and wants to go to Tansen music school, but due to lack of finance, he is unable to do it. Guddu and his other street friends decide to form a band and participate in a musical competition.

The versatile singer, director, the musician has always portrayed a simple yet powerful storyline in front of the audiences that manage to win million hearts. Allahrakka Rahman now known as AR Rahman hails from Madras, India. The oscar winner legendary musician would assist his father R.K Shekhar, who was a film-score composer and conductor for Tamil and Malayalam films. AR Rahman was 9 when his father passed away and he rented his father’s musical equipment to earn income. He was raised by his mother Kareema and his musical journey began when he was 11. He started working with composers and even went on world tours. Rahman received a scholarship in Music from Trinity College of London. He soon met Qaadiri Tariqa and converted to Islam when he was 23 and changed his name from Allahrakka to AR Rahman.

In his 20’s, Rahman made a debut as a composer with Mani Ratnam’s Roja in 1992 and the movie became a super-duper hit. After that Rahman did not look back and soon became a rising star. He started winning several awards including a national award for best music direction for Roja. He continued his hard work for Bollywood as well as for Hollywood. His next mega-hit was Slumdog Millionaire which was released in 2008. He won Padma Shri in 2000 and Padma Bhushan in 2008. AR Rahman had to struggle a lot during his early days but that did not make him lose his focus. Instead, he worked hard on his dreams and tried every way to work on it. He is not just a true inspiration for the young generation but also teaches us how to overcome obstacles in life.
