No wonder, in his acting career Raj Kumar earned several awards and accolades. But when the actor passed away, why was death kept a secret? Even today, his fans do not know the answer of this.

After working in the industry for so long, Raj Kumar developed throat cancer and he found it difficult to even breathe or chew his food. His health was dwindling with every passing day. But still Raj Kumar made sure to keep his health issues to himself. Only Raj Kumar’s son knew about his suffering. But on July 3, 1996, Raj Kumar passed away.

According to media reports, Raj Kumar realised he was going to die, a day before he passed away. Hence he gathered all his family members and told them that he might pass away any moment. He then instructed them to let people know about his death after he was cremated. Moreover, Raj Kumar did not believe in gathering a crowd after one’s passing and he did not want the same for himself. He did not want anybody to see him after his death. Hence, Raj Kumar’s death was kept as a secret from his fans and the media.
