Rashmi Rocket: Real Life Sprinter Hima Das Sends Good Wishes To Reel Life Sprinter Taapsee Pannu Ahead Of Film’s Release – WATCH VIDEO

The time is almost over! Ever since the makers of Rashmi Rocket, starring Taapsee Pannu, announced the film, fans have been waiting with bated breath for the movie to drop online. Rashmi Rocket is based on the real-life of sprinter Rashmi, who had to undergo a gender test to run on national and international levels. After teasing fans with numerous teasers and posters, the makers unveiled the first rushes of the film, almost a month back and it made headlines for all the right reasons. While Taapsee along with Rashmi Rocket makers are gearing up for the release of the film on Zee5 on October 15, Taapsee got in touch with reel life sprinter Hima Khan.

A while back, a short clip from Taapsee and Hima’s brief conversation was shared on the Insta page of Zee5 and it’s everything Heartwarming things. In the clip, Hima and Taapsee indulge in a conversation about the Arjuna award-winning sprinter. What made it special was Hima’s warm wishes to the entire cast and crew of Rashmi Rocket. Meanwhile, Hima Das is making headlines for altogether different reasons. As per the latest reports, the Indian Athlete had tested positive for COVID-19.

Speaking about the twist of the film, earlier director Akarsh Khurana said that understanding gender testing is also important as it goes back into the history when it was brought into the play to check if there were any male imposters in the female event. 

Rashami Rocket is bankrolled by Ronnie Screwvala, Neha Anand, and Pranjal Khandhdiya. While the story has been penned down by Manmarziyan writer Kanika Dhillon. Helmed by Akarsh Khurana, Rashmi Rocket stars an ensemble cast of Supriya Pathak, Abhishek Banerjee, Priyanshu Painyuli, and Supriya Pilgaonkar. Rashmi Rocket premieres on Dusshera.
