Samantha Akkineni Birthday Special: Interesting facts about the Brahmotsavam star that you probably didn’t know!

1) Yashodha for her loved ones 

The world knows her as Samantha, but her friends and family have a special name to call her by. For her loved ones, Samantha Akkineni is called Yashodha. Yashodha happens to be her nickname, isn’t that unexpected?

2) Overcoming diabetes 

Samantha is a fitness icon for most of us, and not just because she is consistent with her workouts and Yoga routines, In 2018, the A Aaa actress managed to put her Type 2 diabetes into remission and come off insulin, which is certainly not a small achievement.

3) Her style inspiration

Time and again, Samantha manages to amaze us with her unique style. It doesn’t come as a surprise that she takes her inspiration from the international style icon and legendary actress Audrey Hepburn.

4) Her tattoos 

Samantha has three tattoos, and each holds a significant meaning for her. The one on her back that says YMC stands for her debut film, Ye Maaya Chesave.  Co-incidentally, she married her co-star Naga Chaitanya, a decade later. He also happens to be the inspiration for her second tattoo, which reads Chay and is on her ribs. Sam and Chay have an identical tattoo on their wrists, which is a Viking symbol that signifies creating your own reality.

5) Telugu Pilla or Tamil Ponnu?

Samantha is a true-blue South Indian, and her background says it all. Her mother is a Malayali, while her father is Telugu. She was born and brought up in Tamil Nadu, and can fluently speak Tamil.

6) Beauty with brains

Samantha has a degree in Commerce, and she was a topper throughout her school years. Moreover, she took up a career in modeling while she was in college, and balanced both these areas brilliantly!

7) Uplifting people with each milestone

Samantha’s social media presence is as high as her fan-following in real life. She has over 16.5 million followers on Instagram as of now, but when the Brahmotsavam actress crossed the milestone of 10 million followers, she donated to 10 NGOs to mark the milestone.
