SDT’s ‘Republic’ team begins #ThankYouCollector, a novel initiative

Here comes an out-of-the-box promotion strategy by the team of Sai Dharam Tej’s for his upcoming movie ‘Republic’. Taking to his official Twitter handle, Tej made an announcement regarding the #ThankYouCollector initiative. “#ThankYouCollector – An initiative which is close to my heart, from our Team #Republic to commemorate and bring to you the brave stories of our Collectors,” the actor tweeted.

Filmmakers these days are coming with unique ideas to promote their films. Controversial comments on social media to special promotional songs, film PR teams are leaving no stone unturned to garner pre-release publicity.

He also shared a video stating, “We respect our soldiers on the borders who safeguard our country. We have heard and seen many stories of our soldiers’ sacrifices. On similar lines, we have numerous collectors who struggle to safeguard the country from the hands of inland enemies. Many have won in their fight against unlawful activities and many have even sacrificed their lives. How many of us know about them? We are here to identify and bring the stories of those brave collectors through our #ThankYouCollector initiative.”

The makers will start sharing the stories from September 08. Sai Dharam Tej is playing the character of Panja Abhiram, a district collector. Written and helmed by ‘Prassthanam’ fame Deva Katta, this political thriller is slated for a theatrical release on October 01. Directed by Deva Katta and music by Mani Sharma, the film is jointly produced by Zee Studios and JB Entertainments. The film also features Aishwarya Rajesh as the female lead while Jagapathi Babu, Ramya Krishnan, Subbaraju, Rahul Ramakrishna, and Sai Dheena in other major roles.
