Who Is Bollywood’s Smartest Lawyer: Shahid Kapoor Of Batti Gul Meter Chalu Vs Arjun Rampal Of Nail Polish
వినోదంMoviesWeb SeriesShahid Kapoor in Batti Gul Meter Chalu and Arjun Rampal in Nail Polish share a lot of similarities – read on to know a fun little comparison between the two.
In the Hindi film industry, courtroom dramas hold a special place in audiences hearts. People love watching those movies, as they have a slow and gradual unfolding of mysteries and a constant tension of heated arguments being exchanged between lawyers. For the same reason, these characters of lawyers have a separate fan base. Today, like the WWE cards game, let’s put two tough lawyers against each other – Shahid Kapoor from Batti Gul Meter Chalu and Arjun Rampal from Nail Polish.
Shahid in Batti Gul Meter Chalu plays the role of SK Pant. He is someone who does not exactly take his profession seriously and chooses to make out-of-court settlements for money. However, his life takes a serious turn after his childhood friend falls in deep trouble and commits suicide. This event brings forth a change in him, and he fights his case righteously.
Arjun Rampal in Nail Polish plays the role of Sid Jaisingh, an arrogant and self-centred person, who also happens to be a genius advocate. Although not for money, he still chooses to fight a case for a seat in the Legislative Assembly, thus displaying his immoral side. However, when he sees his client in a severely distressed condition, he makes the decision of dropping his desire for a seat and winning the case to save his client.
While both the lawyers are extremely arrogant there is one difference between the two – Sid Jaisingh, in his suave manner, asks the judge for more tareeks (dates). (Luckily, his opposition lawyer was not Sunny Deol of Damini, else he’d have destroyed the argument with another tareek pe tareek banter!)
While Sid needs those dates to protect his client, SK Pant on the other side, wanted no extra dates and wanted to get justice for his friend as soon as possible.
Sid fights his cases and presents his arguments in a very suave manner and very coolly shuts down the witnesses who are on his opposite party. SK, on the other hand, switches to a sarcastic and satirical tone to talk to witnesses and the accused.

By the end of Batti Gul Meter Chalu, SK wins his case. And by the end of Nail Polish, since the case spirals down a complicated path, there are no winners – but Sid Jaisingh still gets what he wants from the proceedings, which is, to deem the case as a mistrial, hence saving his client.
In the case of these two lawyers, they each have equal amounts of advantages and disadvantages to themselves, hence, making us call this round a tie. Although, we wonder… if the two ever find out we tied their positions in this competition, how hard would they argue to get the ruling in their favour? If that happens, we’ll let you know who won!
