Shruthi Haasan says aye to #NBK107 after her favourite director Gopichand Malineni convinces her

Mythri Movie Makers have found a dream pair for the upcoming project #NBK107.

Having already roped in Nandamuri Balakrishna as the lead actor for his film, the makers on Deepavali eve announced that actor Shruti Haasan too was now on board. The Ramaiya Vastavaiya actor, who has also excelled in other language industry films, will be seen opposite Nandamuri Balakrishna for the first time in her acting career.

While #NBK107, which its makers say is based on true events, will mark the 107th time that Nandamuri Balakrishna aka Balayya to his legion of fans, has donned the greasepaint for the silver screen, it will be the third time that Shruti Haasan, daughter of legendary actors – Kamal Haasan and Sarika is teaming up with Gopichand Malineni, the director.

Gopichand Malineni’s recent director venture Krack was a blockbuster hit.  Industry watchers say the robust script that he penned for #NBK107 will equally enthuse fans of Nandamuri Balakrishna and Shruti Haasan.

The team of Shruti Haasan and Gopichand Malineni have delivered two blockbusters – Balupu and Krack in their previous as many on-screen associations and fans are excited that the latest project #NBK107 will not disappoint them either. Grapevine has it that Shruti Haasan was not keen to be part of #NBK107, but could not say no to the pleadings of Gopichand Malineni.

Grapevine has it that #NBK107 will be an outright commercial film with all the ingredients that go to attract the mass audience. Mythri Movie Makers are yet to announce the details of others who will be associated with this project – cast and crew included.

With the film expected to hit the floors soon, sometime in January 2022 as Balayya is recuperating from shoulder surgery, the makers are expected to release these vital details as well. Shruthi Haasan in the interim will be seen opposite Tollywood heartthrob Prabhas in Salaar helmed by director Prashanth Neel of KGF fame. Salaar will be a pan-India offering to film fans of the Baahubali actor.
