The White Tiger Earns An Oscar Nomination; Priyanka Chopra Congratulates Ramin Bahrani And Team

Actress Priyanka Chopra Jonas, who has become an international star, had recently starred in the film The White Tiger, along with Rajkummar Rao and Adarsh Gourav, which had released on Netflix. Well, the film was announced in the final nominations of the Best Adapted Screenplay category for the 93rd Academy Awards. Priyanka, who is also one of the producers of the film, congratulated her team for the nomination.
The White Tiger film on Netflix is written and directed by the Iranian-American filmmaker, Ramin Bahrani. The film is based on a novel of the same name, written by Aravind Adiga. While Aravind Adiga had won the Man Booker Prize for The White Tiger, the film’s screenplay, adapted by Ramin Bahrani, is nominated for the Best Adapted Screenplay in 93rd Oscar Awards. The other names nominated in the same category for the 93rd Oscars along with The White Tiger, are Borat, Nomadland, The Father, and One Night In Miami.
The 93rd Annual Oscar Awards will be held in Los Angeles, on April 25. Priyanka Chopra Jonas and her husband, Nick Jonas, were themselves announcing the nominations for the 93rd Oscars. Priyanka has also mentioned this in the caption of her Instagram post, where she congratulated Ramin Bahrani and the whole team for the nomination. She has written, “We just got nominated for an Oscar! Congratulations Ramin and team #TheWhiteTiger. Somehow announcing the nomination myself made it so much more special.” Take a look at the post:

Besides the Oscar nominations, The White Tiger also earned two BAFTA nominations (British Academy of Films and Television Arts). One of the nominations is earned by Adarsh Gourav, for the Best Actor in a Leading Role and the second one, by Ramin Bahrani, for the Best Adapted Screenplay.
