Throwback Thursday: Did Babli out Joy in Ki Kore Bolbo Tomay after he cruelly betrayed her?

In the mood for some throwback? Let’s recap to the time in the latest Zee Bangla TV serial Ki Kore Bolbo Tomay when the lead characters Radhika (Swastika Dutta) and Karna (Krushal Ahuja) were head over heels in love with each other, but as fate would have it, they suddenly get engaged to completely different people! Their best friend Joy (played by Uday Pratap Singh), knew that Radhika and Karna were extremely into each other, and wanted to help them get together. Joy himself was trying to win over Babli, Karna’s sister, but his motives were rather selfish and unjust, as he was just interested in her money!

As soon as Joy found out that Babli was adopted by Karna’s family as a child and is not really a true Sen after all, he did a 180 degree turn and dropped her like a hot potato. Joy had made tons of effort with Babli earlier. He told he loved her and even asked her to marry him, all of which she grew to like the idea of way too much. Now Babli is a shy and timid soul, and we know exactly how much it took out of her to open up to him, so when Joy decided to suddenly change his mind and marry Radhika instead, Babli was obviously shocked and devastated!

To add insult to injury, Joy didn’t even have the guts to tell Babli about his new decision himself. He simply got irritated and stopped taking her calls, and she found out why this was so later. When Joy finally agreed to speak to her once, he visited her at the Sen residence, and a heartbroken Babli confessed that she cannot bear the thought of living without him. She then threatened to take her own life! Joy tried to avert this by scolding her for saying such things, and warned her never to talk of this to anybody — not even Karna. He assured her that he would be the happiest at not having to marry Radhika, and would try his best to get out of it. (Lies!) However, Babli was clearly suffering immense grief and needed to at least share her pain with someone else.

As Joy was leaving from the Sens’, Dolly spotted him and wondered what business he could have with Babli, and asked her about it. Babli merely said that she was mistaken, and it wasn’t Joy, but like we all know by now, it was only a matter of time before Babli could not take it any longer and exposed Joy for being the heartless cheat that he actually is?
