Valentine’s Day special: What’s your pick between a feel-good Bommarillu and a thorny Ye Maaya Chesave?
వినోదంWhen it comes to love stories, what would you choose between a feel-good romance and a comparatively tragic romance?
Over the past few decades, the definition of love stories might have changed but the warm feeling that they leave us with hasn’t changed. Let us look at two of the biggest hit love stories in recent times, Ye Maaya Chesave and Bommarillu. The movies star Naga Chaitanya and Samantha, and Siddharth and Genelia Deshmukh, respectively.
If one were to generalise the two movies, they could say they are both love stories that end with a very happy ending. Even though the endings might be the same, the two love stories are very different at their core. If you were to pick Bommarillu, you’d see that Siddu and Hasini, our protagonists, were with each other from the first day and there was no tragic separation that they faced. The closest to a tragedy that they came was when Hasini left his house in tears in the climax. However, if you were to take Ye Maaya Chesave, the first and foremost separation that they face is voluntarily drawn by Jessie.
