ZEE Yuva Sanmaan 2020: From Music, Medicine To Entrepreneurship, Take A Look At Who The Prestigious Award

Zee Yuva Sanman is an award function where a number of young people are recognised and honoured for their remarkable and exemplary contribution in various fields like agriculture, technology, entrepreneurship and music. Several actors from the Marathi film industry graced the function. Many politicians and other popular artists also graced the show with their presence. There were many performances in between the award function for entertaining the audience.  Here’s a list of these young people who won the Zee Yuva Sanman in fields of Entrepreneurship, Agriculture, Music, Medical, Entertainment and many more.

Zee Yuva Sanman 2019 promo:

1) Leadership and Politics

Rohit Rajendra Pawar is a member of the Maharashtra Legislative Assembly from the Karjat-Jamkhed constituency. He is also the CEO of the Baramati Agro Limited and the President of the Sugar Mills Association. Rohit Pawar was honoured with the झी युवा नेतृत्व  सन्मान for inspiring the youth of the nation.

2) Entertainment

Chaitanya Tamhane was honoured with the झी युवा कला सन्मान at the Zee Yuva Sanman. He is a filmmaker and has bagged several awards for his films. Chaitanya Tamhane is most popular for his comedy-drama film Court, which examines the Indian legal system through the trial of an ageing folk singer in a lower court in Mumbai.

3) Sports

Sarika Kale is a kho kho player from Maharashtra and she was honoured with the झी युवा क्रीडा सन्मान for her contribution in sports. She became the captain of the Maharashtra women’s state Kho Kho team in 2010 and lead the team to three national championships. Sarika Kale led the team to victory in the South Asian Games and in the Third Asian Kho-Kho Championship, where she received the match-winner award in the final against Bangladesh.

4) Literature

For his contribution in literature, Yogesh Maitreya was awarded the झी युवा साहित्य सन्मान. He is a writer, poet, translator and publisher. He grew up surrounded by books written by Dr Babasaheb Ambedkar and found his way to become a full-time writer. Yogesh also runs a publication house called the Panther’s Paw Publication, a name inspired by the revolutionary Dalit Panthers.

5) Science & Technology

Suyog Buradkar is the Founder and CEO of Brisker Systems. He was awarded the झी युवा विज्ञान आणि तंत्रज्ञान सन्मान at Zee Yuva Sanman for his contribution to science and technology. His company is known to offer all types of networking and security solutions, all over the world.His company represents India at a whole new level in terms of Science and Technology.

6) Social Welfare

Jyoti Thakare who works for the welfare of women was honoured with the झी युवा सामाजिक जाणीव सन्मान. This government agency is dedicated to women’s development and offers various empowerment programs. It aims to empower marginalised women from rural and urban area. Jyoti Thakare was appointed as the Chairman of this organisation back in 2018 and has received several praises for her work.

7) Entrepreneurs

Entrepreneurs Amit Bhadbhade and Ninad Vegurlekar won the Zee Yuva Sanman 2020. They are co-founders of an app Utter, which helps freshers and new-age digital economy workers learn English and other workplace-related skills. Parikshit Prabhudesai also won a Zee Yuva Sanman Entrepreneurs Award for being a part of the company Pitambari Innovative Products. They have over 5 million customers across India and abroad.

8) Agriculture

Vilas Shinde is the Managing Director of Sahyadri Farms, Nashik. He is known to be the shining beacon of Indian Agriculture. He awarded for his good work of making Nashik and India proud on the global front by aiming to create a sustainable and profitable model of farming to the small landholding farmers of India.

9) Music

Arya Ambekar was honoured with the झी युवा संगीत सन्मान at Zee Yuva Sanman 2020. Arya is a Marathi playback singer from Nagpur and rose to fame as a finalist in Sa Re Ga Ma Pa L’il Champs in 2009. She has lent her voice for many Marathi songs like Hur Hur, Lag Bag Sakharpudachi and Hrudayat Vaje Something. Arya Ambekar has also lent her voice for the title song of many TV shows like Aai Kuthe Kay Karte and Mazha Hoshil Na.

10) Fresh Face

Vaidehi Parshurami made her debut in the Marathi film industry with the film Ved Lavi Jeeva. She has been a part of several Marathi films like Vrundavan, FU: Friendship Unlimited and Ani…Dr. Kashinath Ghanekar. Vaidehi has been a part of two Bollywood blockbusters Simmba and Wazir.

11) Medical

Amid the Covid-19 Pandemic, doctors and other medical workers have been on their toes to save lives and cure people of the virus. Zee Yuva Sanman thus decided to felicitate and honour a few Government Doctors and Nurses who have been working day and night to make the world a better place again. Here’s a list of few honoraries:

12)  Special Award for Invaluable Contribution

The Special Award for Invaluable Contribution was given to Civic sanitisation workers. They were awarded the झी युवा अलौकिक योगदान सन्मान  for keeping their surrounding safe and ensuring proper sanitisation was taken place from time to time for people’s safety. Here is a list of those people who were honoured by this award:

•  Tulashi Chavhan (LTMG Hospital)
• Laxmi Koli (Nair Hospital)
• Mayuri Gamare (Nair Hospital)

13) Special Award for Bravery

A Special Award for Bravery was given to a few Mumbai Police officers who has risked their lives to ensure people’s safety. While the entire nation stayed safe indoors, the Mumbai Police was on rounds patrolling and making sure people were not loitering around for unnecessary reasons. Here’s a list of officers of the Mumbai Police who were awarded the झी युवा शौर्य सन्मान:
