The urge to prove oneself
Mahi lives with a supportive father and a suspicious mother. Mahi’s mother Asha always considers her as a little girl. Every time she takes a big decision in her life, Asha steps in to demotivate or oppose her. There are many instances where Mahi and Asha end up arguing – and even the conflicts and arguments feel relatable. After all, we all get disturbed by constant interference from our parents. They jump in as they want to safeguard their child. But every child desires to be free and capable of making their own choices. This is the reason why Mahi looks so relatable. She wants to prove to her mother that she can make her identity and live a better life.
The fight between heart and mind
This is another conflict that Mahi faces, and so do we. Mahi likes Deshveer, but she keeps her feelings hidden. There is a constant denial, as she keeps saying that Deshveer is just her friend. But deep inside, she loves him. When Deshveer was around, she used to mock and despise him. But after Deshveer goes on his secret mission, there is not a single day when Mahi doesn’t try reaching him – just like every one of us faces a dilemma.
Mahi is a strong, caring and sensible girl. She has the courage to sacrifice her happiness and also the power to fight back and that’s what makes her character inspiring and relatable at the same time. What are your thoughts about Mahi? Share this story and your views in the comments below.
