Kangana Ranaut’s Hardships Continue

Trials and tribulations are a part of everyone’s life, but looks like there are no achche din for Kangana Ranaut in near future. The actress who has often paid the price for refusing to filter what she case, has to be answerable now for the stuff that she has doled out against writer Javed Akhtar.

According to the legal reports that have been floating, Justice Revati Mohite Dere has refused any relief to the actress in the defamation case. It has been said that Justice Dere feels the summons to Ranaut have been issued in an airtight case. The metropolitan magistrate who filed it, seems to have considered every aspect and every move, before he put in his case.

The official statement by Dere is as follows, “The order issuing process reflects that the learned magistrate saw the video of the defamatory statement displayed on the national news channel, perused the complaint, statement on oath, supportive police report… and other material on record very minutely and carefully….” The actress was issued summons under section 204 of the Criminal Procedure Code for the offence of defamation under sections 499 and 500 of the CrPC.

The statements made by Justice Dere about how airtight the magistrate’s order is comes due to Ranaut’s contention that the magistrate’s order was ‘bad in law’. According to the actress’ claim the magistrate had stated there will be an inquiry, as opposed to saying there will be an investigation. The actress went on to say that the magistrate had directed the police to conduct an inquiry without examining the complainant or the witnesses mentioned in his complaint or assigning any reasons.

Javed Akhtar filed the criminal complaint against Kangana Ranaut in November last year for allegedly making defamatory comments against him in an interview given to journalist Arnab Goswami. Akhtar accused the Queen actress of making unfounded allegations against him on national television, and tried linking him with the unfortunate suicide of actor Sushant Singh Rajput.

With her latest film Thalaivii getting leaked, multiplexes refusing to showcase the film, the sorrows in Kangana Ranaut’s life don’t seem to end.
