Sourav Ganguly Biopic: Ranbir Kapoor And Parambrata Chatterjee To Step Into Legendary Cricketer’s Shoes? Here’s The Truth

Director Luv Ranjan is yet to decide who will play the lead role in his upcoming biopic based on the life of legendary Indian cricketer Sourav Ganguly. However, two names have been narrowed down by him, which include Ranbir Kapoor who is loved by millions of his fans, and his acting skills simply make him a versatile actor. And the second name includes actor Parambrata Chatterjee.

However, while we would love to watch Ranbir Kapoor essaying a real-life character on the reel screen, the actor himself has confirmed to leading publications that he won’t play any real-life character, here we have an exception of being Sanjay Dutt in Sanju. The actor was highly appreciated for his performance in Sanju.

Director, Luv Ranjan had conveyed the film to Ranbir, But Ranbir didn’t show any interest. He is more into football than cricket. On the flip side, the other actor, Parambrata Chatterjee is not even considered for the role by the filmmaker. Also, reports speculate that the star-cricketer will be seen playing himself on the silver screen.

The producers of the film said to leading publications that the possibility of Sourav Da can’t be ruled out. However, who knows Sourav Ganguly better than Sourav Ganguly? The script is not even halfway ready yet and the producers will think of the casting only when the screenplay is ready. The producers also mentioned that all the names that you’re reading are fans of Dada doing their wishful thinking.
