Kaun Banega Crorepati 13: Amitabh Bachchan Gets Emotional Seeing The Flashback Clip; Describes Why He Started Hosting The Show

Amitabh Bachchan has admitted that he agreed to host Kaun Banega Crorepati in the year 2000 because he was having trouble finding work. Amitabh Bachchan’s daughter Shweta Bachchan asked him how he felt once the quiz show reached 1000 episodes. Shweta and her daughter Navya Naveli Nanda were featured as guests in the program.

Amitabh Bachchan replied to Shweta and said that it’s been 21 years. The show premiered in the year 2000. He seemed to have no idea at that moment. People cautioned him that switching from a large to a tiny screen would damage his reputation. However, the actor’s conditions were such that he wasn’t receiving any film work at the time, but the sort of comments he received after the program debuted made him feel that the world had changed for the great actor.

As the crowd applauded and cheered, Amitabh Bachchan said that the best part was learning something new every day from each participant. Shweta and Navya, as well as the audience, were seen clapping.
