Yes, it happened back in the year 2009, when the actor brought a handloom saree specially made for Kareena Kapoor Khan. You will be shocked to know the price of the saree. The special saree cost Rs 25, 000 and interestingly it was made by handloom workers of Chanderi village in Madhya Pradesh. Isn’t this amazing about Aamir Khan? Undoubtedly, Kareena Kapoor Khan was amazed to watch the precious gift she received from her 3 Idiots co-star Aamir Khan.

Kareena Kapoor Khan in an interaction with the leading daily said that it had been chaotic and she so exhausted when she first came to Madhya Pradesh. The actress was scared as she wasn’t informed about the destination they were heading to. The only thing she knew was that they had to meet Aamir Khan. She travelled for literally 7 hours just to meet Aamir.

Bebo also informed a leading daily that the actor took her to Chanderi, a place she knew least about. After reaching there, Aamir Khan asked her that she being a style icon should promote the handloom industries. The actor also informed her that the forefathers of these workers used to work for rich families and create their costumes. Once they reached Chanderi, the actor duo went to the homes of the people there and understood their way of life.

Kareena also said that the people over there stayed in one room and work for 10-12 hours per day and only earn nearly Rs 50 every day, On the other hand, the designers take their work and sell it for Rs 30-40,000. The actress understood the hardships faced by those people and enjoyed a gala time with them.
