ZEE5 Original Series Recce Set to Debut on June 17th!

India’s homegrown streaming platform, ZEE5, has set the stage ablaze with many new releases this year. Another addition to its ever-expanding library is the Telugu crime Thriller Recce. Set in the 1990s, Recce revolves around the murder investigation of Tadipatri’s municipal chairman Varadarajulu. The nail-biting thriller follows sub-inspector Lenin as he tries to uncover the truth behind the complicated murder mystery and bring the liars to justice.

The 7-part star-studded series features Sivabalaji, Sriram, Dhanya Balakrishna, Rajashree Nair, Aadukalam Naren, Saranya Pradeep and Ester Noronha in the pivotal roles. The plot of the series showcases crime scenes and the planning and execution of the murder plan for an influential person in the village. Set to release on June 17th, the Telugu crime thriller asks the viewers a fundamental question, ‘What happens when greed, jealousy, and lust consume a person?’

In the show’s teaser, a group of men are gearing up to attack the head of the village, and we see a head flying around. The spectacular cinematography by Ram K. Mahesh and the compelling direction by Krishna Poluru makes this crime drama even more mesmerizing.

Opening up about the show, the writer-director Krishna Poluru shared that the story has nuanced characters and is a high-voltage crime drama that everyone can enjoy. By combining enthralling music with excellent performances by lead actors, Recce grips the viewers on the edge of their seats with anticipation. The show will be released in four languages, including Telugu, Tamil, Kannada, and English, only on ZEE5.
