After Shakti Goes Off-air, Kamya Panjabi Gravitates Toward Politics – DEETS Inside

The TV actress Kamya Panjabi is allegedly leaning into politics. She gained immense popularity because of her TV show Shakti: Astitva Ke Ehsaas Ki. Kamya has always had a passion for politics, she has now allegedly joined the Congress Party. Earlier, because of the work pressure of her daily soap, she could not have been able to devote her time toward politics. Now that Shakti is off-air, Kamya will be able to leap into the world of politics successfully. Kamya is yet to give an official statement on the matter.

Kamya is one of the leading actresses of the Small Screen. She has worked in many soap operas like Shhh Koi Hai, Maryada-Lekin Kab Tak and Banoo Main Teri Dulhan. Banoo Main Teri Dulhan gained Kamya popularity. In 2013, she was a contestant on Bigg Boss.

Shakti had been on the air for about five years. When Shakti was taken off-air, Kamya, along with the other cast members, was heartbroken. She shed tears at the epilogue of her daily soap. She was unable to leave the sets of Shakti after the director announced pack-up on the last day. She hopes that Shakti will come back for another season like many other shows these days. Nevertheless, she is glad that Shakti ended on a high and happy note instead of being milked out unnecessarily. The winner of Bigg Boss 14, Rubina Dilaik, also starred in Shakti. She posted pictures of the cast’s last day of shooting.

Kamya has won the Indian Telly Award and the Apsara Award for Banoo Main Teri Dulhan. Kamya has played minor roles in a few Bollywood movies like Kaho Na Pyaar Hai, Koi Mil Gaya and Phir Bhi Dil Hai Hindustani.

Kamya is married to Shalabh Dang, a doctor based in Delhi. The couple tied the knot after having dated for about seven months. Kamya’s political career awaits her after having spent two phenomenally successful decades in the entertainment industry.
