Alia Bhatt, Kareena Kapoor Khan And Others Support The Government’s Decision To Open Vaccination For All Above 18

The second wave of Covid-19 has hit the country in a worse way. Amid the rising cases of Covid-19 in the country, the government has taken the decision to open vaccination for all above the age of 18. This vaccination drive will be open for all from May 1st, 2021. As soon as the decision was announced, Bollywood celebrities took social media to cheer up and support the cause.

Actress Kareena Kapoor Khan shared the post on her social media account and wrote, ‘Let’s do this India’. Actress Alia Bhatt also shared the post along with the emoji of flexing muscles, depicting that the country is strong enough to support the cause. Malaika Arora also reposted Kareena Kapoor’s story, supporting and cheering for the decision. Actress Huma Qureshi took to Instagram to share a bunch of guidelines to be followed, to stay safe amid the rising cases. She wrote, ‘Please guys stay safe’. Shahid Kapoor’s wife who’s an active social media user shared the great news about the vaccination drive in India. Salman Khan’s sister Arpita Khan Sharma took to her Instagram to announce that the Government of India announced liberalised and accelerated Phase 3 strategy of Covid-19 vaccination from May 1.

The decision was announced on Monday, April 19^th followed by a meeting between Prime Minister Narendra Modi with pharma companies, doctors, Cabinet ministers in charge of health and drugs. Phase 3 of the National Vaccine Strategy will enable vaccine manufacturers to sell half of their vaccines to the State governments and open market. Manufacturers will make an advance declaration of the price for 50% of the supply which will be available to the State government and in the open market.  Based on the price, State hospitals, private hospitals, and industrial establishments will be able to procure vaccine doses from manufacturers.
