Bhabi Ji Ghar Par Hai is one of the most loved sitcoms on Indian TV. It is also one of the longest-running shows which crossed the 1500 episodes mark lately. While Manmohan Tiwari and Vibhuti Narayan Mishra keep entertaining us with their weird antics, the beautiful Anita Bhabi and Angoori Bhabi, have their own quirks to them. A few months ago Saumya Tandon who played Anita Bhabi called it quits and that’s when Nehha Pendse entered our lives. Although she had big shoes to fill, the actress did an amazing job at essaying the character of Anita Mishra.

Over a period of time, every character’s style quotient changes a bit. Let’s see how Anita Bhabi’s costumes have changed from the time Saumya Tandon played the role to now when Nehha Pendse has stepped in.
Although the peal necklace remained the same, the type of Saree has evolved. While Saumya wore more opaque silky sarees Nehha is seen in more transparent, organza sarees.
Both the actresses dressed in comfy t-shirts and pants. While Sauma wore a simple casual outfit with a printed tee and plain pants, Nehha opted for a more colourful co-ord set.
Anita Bhabi has an amazing collection of nighties. The only change we notice is that it went from lacy, net material to shiny silk robes.
Both Neha and Saumya are seen wearing Sarees on multiple occasions in the show. Saumya usually sported a more traditional looking saree with big borders. Whereas, Nehha is spotted wearing more solid coloured sarees, with an occasional change of floral prints.
As we said earlier, Anita Bhabi’s collection of nighties just keep coming. While the character still chooses to wear lighter shades, the material and cut of the outfit have changed over the years.
Although Anita Bhabi was a modern woman she’s often seen wearing salwar suits. Whenever Saumya Tandon wore them, the majority of her outfits had an ethnic touch, especially with the dupatta.
Whereas, our latest version of Anita Bhabi portrayed by Nehha Pendse prefers a simpler modern version of it. She’s often seen wearing solid colours with net dupattas.
While both the actresses often wore jeans and tops, the preferred style of tops differed drastically. While Saumya wore loose fitted casual tops, Nehha is seen wearing more fitted and high-end looking tops.
While Saumya mostly wore jeans and tops, Nehha’s preferred look seems to be skirt tops, especially printed tops and plain pencil skirts.
Nehha is also seen wearing a lot of tops and dresses with a plunging neckline. She often pairs these with a broad belt and minimal accessories. Nehha also pairs her modern outfits such as jeans and tops with a layered necklace.
So these were some observations of a curious mind.
