After dropping the first look posters and an intriguing trailer of Varalaxmi Sarathkumar’s latest offering, the makers have finally dropped the much-awaited thriller murder mystery Danny online. Fans can’t seem to wait to see what this crime thriller has in store for us.

Danny, helmed by LC Santhanamoorthy, revolves around a murder mystery. In the film, which made its digital premiere on ZEE5 on August 1, 2020, will see Varalaxmi in a cop role. She will be essaying the character of a gritty cop, Kundhavai, who will investigate two deadly murder cases with the help of a police dog Danny.

1. Storyline
Danny is a murder mystery, where a young woman is being beaten and burnt to death in the district of Tanjore. Inspector Kunthavai (Varalaxmi) takes up the case and investigates the murder with the help of an expert police dog named Danny. As she starts to connect the dots and is very close to nabbing the killer, the latter attacks her family. Will Kunthavai take it personally and retaliate to the damage done or handover the criminal to the police?
2. Varalaxmi In An Inspector Role
Varalaxmi is one of the most powerful actresses, who has time and again proved her mettle in the Kollywood movies she’s done. In this film, the actress is essaying the character of a gritty cop, is on the lookout for a killer, who commits gruesome murders. This is the first time that Varalaxmi is playing the role of a police officer and she is totally nailing it.
3. Danny
Yes, Danny! By Danny, I mean, the Labrador dog, who plays the role of a cop in this film. All you dog lover out there will love to see how Danny manages to solve the case and nab the killers. While the film is quite disturbing, Danny is the only thing that will keep you sane throughout the film.
4. The Message Danny Preaches
The film Danny brings out the harsh realities of life. We need to bring a change in this world but the change can only come from within. If not, then people will continue to commit crimes. The film, which showcases how women are an easy target and become victims of some predators we have in our society, insinuates the men to start respecting women. This can only be taught by one’s parents at the time of one’s childhood. The film also teaches us that a criminal needs to be treated the same way as they treat other lives.
