The makers of Drishyam are planning to make the sequel of the film starring Ajay Devgn. Drishyam is the Hindi adaptation of a Malayalam film, that was released in 2013. The second part of the Malayalam film was released digitally earlier this year in February. Drishyam has given a boost to the Malayalam film industry. The Bollywood film that starred Ajay Devgn was loved by the audience and received appreciation from them. Producer Kumar Mangat Pathak had now announced that they had got the rights of Drishyam 2. Abhishek Pathak, the son of the producer, is going to sit on the chair of the director.
The makers of Drishyam are now gearing up for the sequel. Ajay Devgn who has been working on several projects will start filming for Drishyam 2, soon after he is done working on his current projects. The Singham actor will be again seen essaying the role of Vijay Salgaonkar. Tabu, Shriya Saran, and Ishita Dutta will also be seen in the movie. It is said that Ajay will begin his shooting schedule with the Drishyam team during December.
A source informed the leading daily that the Hindi remake was directed by Nishikant Kamat who unfortunately passed away last year. Abhishek Pathak decided that he would helm the sequel which is set around six years apart from the events of the first film. The script is currently being written and like the original film, the sequel is going to have certain changes keeping in mind the sensibilities of the Hindi audience. Along with Devgn and Tabu, Shriya Saran, Ishita Dutta, Mrunal Jadhav and most of the supporting cast will continue to reprise the roles in the sequel.

The same source informed the leading daily that Ajay Devgn is currently busy with the shoot of Rudra: The Edge of Darkness. Ajay will then head to Moscow next month to shoot some crucial scenes for his directorial MayDay. Later the Singham star will shoot for Boney Kapoor’s Maidaan before starting Drishaym 2 in December. At the same time, Tabu is currently shooting for Bhool Bhulaiyaa 2. She will soon start working on Kuttey which marks the directorial debut of Aasmaan Bhardwaj, son of filmmaker Vishal Bhardwaj, the source concluded.
