Gangubai Kathiawadi: The Wait Is Finally Over; Alia Bhatt Starrer To Hit Big Screens On THIS Date – DEETS INSIDE

The past few weeks had been difficult for everybody, especially those working in the film fraternity as the cases had started to surge and many regions of the county had put restrictions and curfews. Theatres were also shut down owing to the fast paced spread of the infection. Many movies which were already released during the time faced a setback at the box office like 83 and others that were gearing up for their big theatrical releases had to postpone their dates.

Now things are again coming back to normal as we can see and it seems a good time for the filmmakers to take the step. Hence a big announcement is made today that the most awaited film of the year, the Sanjay Leela Bhansali directorial Gangubai Kathiawadi will be released on the silver screens on February 25th. The film starring Alia Bhatt and Ajay Devgn will have its global presentation at the 72nd Berlin International Film Festival. Fans have been eagerly waiting for this film and now the wait is finally over.

Bhansali Productions’ official account tweeted the announcement on social media with the remark, “Witness her reign in cinemas near you on February 25th, 2022.” Pen Studios published a trailer for Bhansali’s film in February 2021, introducing Alia Bhatt as Gangu aka Gangubai Kathiawadi, the feisty matriarch of Kamathipura.

The plot of the film is based on a passage of Hussain Zaidi’s book Mafia Queens of Mumbai regarding Ganga Harjivandas, and it concentrates upon the background of a humble girl who is compelled to join the gangster culture in order to define her own zone as a madame in Kamathipura’s red light zone.
