Uri: The Surgical Strike
Vicky Kaushal starrer Uri: The Surgical Strike was one of the biggest super hits of the year gone by. This patriotic film, also starring Paresh Rawal and Yami Gautam, deals with the events related to the surgical strike conducted by the Indian Army against militants in Pakistan-occupied Kashmir to avenge the attack on the army camp in Uri. It is now available in Telugu too.
Simmba
Ranveer Singh‘s massive blockbuster, Simmba, directed by Rohit Shetty is an out and out entertainer. The 2018 film also stars Sonu Sood and Sara Ali Khan. The story of Simmba revolves around an orphan from the village of Shivgadh. He grows up to be a corrupt police officer, but some incidents change the fate of his career and ambition. How he evolves into an ethical man fighting for justice is the crux of the story.
Pad Man
Akshay Kumar‘s Pad Man is a social drama which takes inspiration from the real-life events of Arunachalam Muruganantham. The film also stars Sonam Kapoor and Radhika Apte. It is an inspiring journey of a man, who decides to help his wife and other women live a hygienic life by building low-cost sanitary pad manufacturing machine.
Parmanu
Parmanu is a film led by John Abraham, Diana Penty and Boman Irani amongst other actors. It is based on secretive nuclear tests that were conducted in Rajasthan, in 1998. Under the Atal Bihari Vajpayee Government, these tests created history and firmly put India in the list of nuclear nations.
