Jibon Saathi: Heartfelt moments between Salankara and Priyam that make up for all the time lost

Zee Bangla’s popular serial Jibon Saathi stars Diya Basu as Priyam, Sayan Karmakar as Sankalpa and Shrabani Bhunia as Jhelum in the lead roles. Since the beginning, Priyam has been misunderstood by her mother-in-law, Salankara. After a long time, Salankara got to know that Priyam was just being framed by Subhash while he planned to take over Salankara’s business. This changed her mindset towards her daughter-in-law and they developed a close bond in the recent past. Here are some moments between Salankara and Priyam that make up for the past bitterness.

Salankara wishes to wed Sankalpa and Priyam again

In one of the episodes, as Salankara and Priyam are sitting together discussing the events of the recent past, Salankara says that she wishes to get Sankalpa and Priyam married again. Salankara says that she has had her inhibitions against Priyam since the beginning and has committed many sins against Priyam just because she believed Subhash. By marrying Sankalpa and Priyam again and welcoming her into the Banerjee family, she will atone for her past sins. Priyam blushes after hearing Salankara’s words and Jhelum assures her that her wish will be fulfilled.

Salankara regrets her mistakes and embraces Priyam

When Salankara gets to know about all the problems that Subhash created, she regrets her rude behaviour with Priyam. She apologises to Priyam and says that she always judged her on grounds of outer beauty, insulted her, and disrespected her, although she is the Banerjee family’s daughter-in-law. Priyam in return comforts Salankara and says that she was not hurt by those insults or criticism as Salankara is her mother and it is her right to discipline her.

Salankara tells Priyam to welcome Rik

After Salankara overhears Subhash and Suparna’s conversation and gets to know that it was Subhash and Suparna who framed Priyam in the showroom’s fire case while they were responsible for the fire, all her hatred towards Priyam washes away and guilt takes over. After that, when Rik arrives to get married to Oishani, Salankara calls Priyam and tells her to be a part of the welcoming ceremony. While everyone is surprised by this gesture, Priyam gets overwhelmed by Salankara’s decision to include her.

Priyam calls Salankara ‘Maa’

In a recent episode, Priyam tells Salankara to eat fruits as that will help her gain strength and energy and will also help her recover faster. Salankara refuses to eat it and says that Priyam should eat it as she is much younger. Priyam jokingly replies that if Salankara steps out after getting dressed in a beautiful saree, she will have suitors lining up for her attention. Salankara scolds her and says she shouldn’t say such things as she is her mother-in-law and Priyam says she is her mother and not mother-in-law. This adorable moment makes up for all the times they weren’t close to each other!
