10 Years Of Rockstar: Ranbir Kapoor, Sanjana Sanghi And Imtiaz Ali Celebrate The Special Day; See Their Virtual Reunion Here

It is a special day for the makers of Rockstar as the film has completed 10 years. On this day 10 years ago, a masterpiece was released and it left a benchmark in the entertainment industry. The film was directed by Imtiaz Ali and starred Ranbir Kapoor and Nargis Fakhri in the lead role. On achieving the milestone, Sanjana Sanghi, who played a pivotal part in the movie, revealed that the team of Rockstar united for a virtual celebration. She posted a screengrab from a video call featuring Ranbir Kapoor, Imtiaz Ali, AR Rahman and several others.

While sharing the photo on the social media account Sanjana Sanghi wrote, “#10YearsOfRockstar And just like that, today marks 10 glorious years to our beloved Rockstar becoming yours forever. 10 years to that one single surreal moment that single handedly changed my life and the way I look at life forever. Magic, is the only word to describe how each moment, each bond, each scene performed on this mystical journey has ever felt. And gratitude, the only emotion that overflows. As we all huddled up to drown ourselves in nostalgia, I was left with a lump in my throat, it all still feels like yesterday. Thank you @arrahman Sir for bringing us together so impromptu, you’re the best. Excerpts from our walk down memory lane, stories you may or may not know are coming to you soon. For an unversed, Sanjana was 14-year-old when she shot for the film. She shared the one thing that hasn’t changed over the course of ten years Ranbir Kapoor and Imtiaz Ali still pull her leg as they used to onset. The actress wrote that Ranbir and Imtiaz pulling my leg just as was done with little Sanjana at 14 years of age of course continues.

Speaking of the film, Rockstar starred Ranbir Kapoor as Jordan, born Janardhan Jakhar, who chases his dream of becoming a Rock star while also struggling to find himself. A heartbreak helps him reach his goal professionally but results in his self-destruction. Nargis Fakhri played Ranbir Kapoor’s love interest in the film while Sanjana Sanghi starred as Nargis’ sister. The film also marked veteran actor Shammi Kapoor’s last silver-screen appearance.

Rockstar was released on November 11 in 2011 and still continues to remain in the hearts of the audience. On achieving the milestone director Imtiaz Ali and music director AR Rahman shared special posts on their respective social media accounts.
