Sooryavanshi starring Akshay Kumar and Katrina Kaif was released in theatres on November 5. The film directed by Rohit Shetty made a great buzz at the box office and grabbed a huge collection. The film has set a benchmark for the other movies and now even days after its release the film is in talks and numbers are increasing on the ticket window. Earlier, the director had talked about his plans for a female cop universe film.
Rohit Shetty has now opened up about the same in an interview with a leading daily. The director said that the film will happen. 100% it’ll happen, but they also have to think that 2 years went into lockdown, Sooryavanshi should’ve been released 19 months ago, so many things have changed that they need to revive, so everything will need to be given space. So, it’ll happen in the coming days for sure.
The director was also asked if just like Sooryavanshi his female cop universe film also marks cameo appearances of Simmba and Singham. Rohit Shetty said that nothing is decided as of now. He can’t comment on what will happen as he himself doesn’t know exactly how he will end the story because a story never ends, it gets forwarded especially in a franchise, so writing it becomes difficult.
Rohit Shetty further said that if one sees Simmba, Akshay Kumar had entered then. If one sees Sooryavanshi, they’ve left the story at such a juncture, where Singham will take it forward. Shetty added that till they write that end, till we don’t reach there, till then he can’t comment because the story doesn’t end, the director said.

Speaking more about the film, Sooryavanshi, apart from Akshay Kumar and Katrina Kaif also starred Ranveer Singh and Ajay Devgn. They reprised their roles as the cops they played in Simmba and Singham respectively. The action, romance, and inclining storyline have won the hearts of the audience and dragged them to the theatres to watch the film on the large screen.
