The makers of John Abraham and Divya Khosla starrer Satyameva Jayate 2 had been waiting for the theaters to re-open ever since the movie had completed its filming and was undergoing a post-production process in June 2021. Not many know, the makers were eyeing Eid 2021 for its release however, later they decided to opt for a theatrical release. The film hit the screens today i.e., November 25 and it’s been receiving rave reviews by critics and audience. Satyameva Jayate 2 stars and ensemble cast of John Abraham in triple roles of twin brothers and a son, along with Divya, who plays his wife. The film also stars Badrinath Ki Dulhania fame Saahil Vaid, Gautami Kapoor, and Anup Soni among others.
Speaking about its plot, Satymeva Jayate revolves around a story where John Abraham plays the role of a Home Minister Satya Azad, who wants to clean the corrupted nation with his Anti-Corruption Bill. Satya fails to do so as he fails to get enough votes even from his wife Vidya played by Divya Khosla Kumar, as she’s a member of the Opposition and votes ‘opposite’ in the Vidhan Sabha. Just after watching 5 minutes of Satyameva Jayate 2, we see John delivering an epic monologue, as the director Milan Milap Zaveri doesn’t want to disappoint you.
However soon things changes as a couple of gruesome murders take place in his area. And when Satya decides to take matters into his own hand, they brought in his twin brother ACP Jay Azad played by John Abraham again, to nab the murderer. Not only the corruption, but the director also addresses farmers’ suicides, violence against women (Nirbhaya in Delhi, Veterinarian in Telangana), Lokpal Bill among many other important communal harmony and religious tolerance in good measure. But if you think that Satyameva Jayate 2 revolves around brother against brother, then wait you need to know about a few more things. This high-octane drama is a sequel to Satyameva Jayate that the screens last year and turned out to be a huge success.
Satyameva Jayate 2 is backed with peppy, patriotic, and heartwarming music. After Dilruba, Nora Fatehi too will be grooving to her latest item number Kusu Kusu which has been winning hearts ever since its release. The film is clearly a tribute to the 80s movies. Sporting actress Gautami Kapoor becomes the biggest support of Dadasaheb’s wife and Satya’s and Jay’s mother. What also takes everyone by surprise is its hardcore action that will not leave its fans disappointed as some scenes might leave you clapping and whistling.
