The day has started with a wave of tears for Indian playback singer Shaan. Today, January 20, his mother Sonali Mukherjee breathed her last. The mother of the singer left for her heavenly adobe and left everyone in teary eyes. Another singer Kailash Kher shared the sad news on his social media account.
Kailash Kher took to his Twitter handle to announce that Shaan’s mother Sonali Mukherjee has passed away. He wrote that Shaan’s mother has left for her heavenly adobe. He wished that her soul may rest in peace. Kailash Kher also wished that may god give Shaan and his family the strength to face this sad moment. In the end, he also added that Eternal Prayer.

Earlier, in an interview, singer Shaan opened up about his mother. He said that his mother was the prime reason that he came on a decision to pursue a career in music. Shaan also informed the leading daily how his mother single-handedly brought up him and his sister Sagarika after their father passed away.
Singer Shaan was very close to his mother Sonali Mukherjee and on the occasion of Mother’s day, the singer shared a photo with her on his social media account. Sharing the adorable photo on his Instagram account, Shaan wished happy mothers’ day to his dear mom. He also penned that he was blessed to have both Moms by his side always. Just like that he also wished his mother on birthday. The singer also shared a photo with his mother and expressed how much he loved her.
The singer informed a leading daily how his mother balanced both the roles of being a single mother to two kids and a working woman. Shaan also said that his mother always had a smile on her face and she encouraged him and his sister Sagarika to do whatever they wished to do.
