The trailer shows how the movie unravels and it is everything we want a modern-day women-centric movie to be. Travelling through the lives of five women, the film indeed promises to be an intriguing one.

We’ve witnessed some interesting and path-breaking movies surrounding the lives of women in the recent past, and ZEE5 Original film Sita on the Road is yet another addition to the already impressive list. As portrayed in the trailer, the film narrates the story of five women from different backgrounds coming together to head out on a life-changing road trip. This modern-day tale features talented actors like Kalpika Ganesh, Khatera Hakimi, Gayathri Gupta, Nesa Farhadi and Uma Lingaiah in the lead roles. The film is written and directed by Praneeth Yaron, who also did the beautiful background score.
The movie revolves around the thought of how women in contemporary society face obstacles and constantly prove their mettle. Sita on the Road travels through and explores the lives of some women who challenge the societies around them and go on the lookout for freedom. The protagonists’ journey unravels in the most mystical way as they explore nature and themselves through the outing.
