While many filmmakers excel in a particular genre, a few others gravitate towards underexplored territories of cinema. And that’s something better rather than getting cemented for a particular kind. However, while exploring different zones, the directors never miss out on their trademark theme. And that’s something Bollywood filmmaker Vikas Bahl is known for. Over the years, the director has explored every genre whilst entertaining the audience. Vikas Bahl made his directorial debut with the children’s drama film Chillar Party. Released in 2011, the film went on to be a big hit among the masses. Bahl was appreciated for his conceptual story. The film also went on to bag the National Award for best children’s film. Vikas rose to fame with his debut flick and then in 2013, he yet again won our hearts through the film Queen. Featuring Kangana Ranaut, the film follows Rani who embarks on a journey of self-discovery.

The film beautifully lived up to its theme whilst entertaining the audience. And thus it became a major hit and is considered to be Bahl’s finest piece of work to date.  Later in 2015, he made Shaandaar which flopped at the box office but Bahl’s concept was appreciated by a set audience.

After exploring the romance genre, the director made the biographical drama Super 30. The film emerged as another hit for Bahl. Trying his hands across different genres, the filmmaker has always proved that his stories are uniquely entertaining.

Invested In Experimental Projects!

While Vikas’ direction skills were getting appreciated across the nation, he also went on to support some extraordinary projects as a producer.  Be it new-age thrillers like Ugly, Trapped and Raman Raghav 2.0 or conceptual romance sagas including Manmarziyaan, the director invested in some experimental projects.

As a producer, Bahl has some interesting projects under his name. From Anushka Sharma’s NH10 to Vineet Kumar Singh’s Mukkabaaz, these films are still considered to be among the best in their respective genres. Well, we can say that Vikas always had an eye for good content.

Also, Bahl had invested in many thrillers as a producer but this is the first time he has directed a complete crime comedy. So, this is the new aspect, we are sure, fans would definitely love.
