Sindoora and her sisters accuse Vidya of stealing the money. They brainwash Sagar about it. Vidya pleads innocence but Sindoora berates her and warns her to reveal where the money is! Vidya places her hand over the burning lamp and swears that she has not taken the money. So Sindoora demands that her belongings be checked. Mahua places the money in Vidyas suitcase. Kartik sees Mahua join them later and realises her ploy. Chandra opens the door and the suitcase opens up. Because of the impact, the money inside the suitcase gets flung under the cupboard. Sindoora starts searching Vidyas suitcase vigorously but is shocked not to see the money anywhere. Even Mahua is surprised. Uma tells Vidya that she knows her husband could not be wrong in realising what a gem of a person she is! Later, Sindoora scolds Mahua for their plot getting foiled! Just then, she sees Sagar and pretends to get emotional. Sindoora says that Vidya had got her humiliated in front of the priests, and then shrewdly hidden the money to prove her a liar! Sagar promises to spy on Vidya and a triumphant Sindoora permits him to. Meanwhile, an upset Vidya realises suddenly that she has not spoken to her mother from the time she had arrived. She sees the phone but is ignorant about how to use it. Kartik comes there and volunteers to fulfil every need of hers! He takes her hand and teaches her to operate the instrument. Vidya feels extremely uncomfortable but just then, Sagar appears. When Kartik leaves, she seeks Sagars help to dial the number. However, he dials a wrong number. Sagar then tells Vidya that he will never help her because she is wicked and had killed his father!
