Raghunath and Tatya Guru fail to recover the treasure. Gangadhar suggest that they sell a part of the kingdom to repay the British. A furious Laxmibai confronts Karma and asks him about the treasure. Karma confesses him crime. Laxmibai decides to expose Karma before the villagers, but Karma tells her that no one will believe her. When Laxmibai tells the villagers about Karma, he puts the blame back on Laxmibai. To prove his words, Karma pretends to search Laxmibai's hut, and finds a part of the treasure, which he had himself planted there. Meanwhile, Motibai, Lacho, Sakhubai and Jankibai offer their jewelry to Gangadhar to ease his burden. Gangadhar is moved. Back at the camp, no one believes Laxmibai. Laxmibai declares that she will find the treasure by the next morning, failing which she will end her life. Everyone is stunned. Laxmibai discusses with Acharya and Samar Singh that Karma has all the treasure, but she is unaware of the place where he has hidden it. Laxmibai also wishes to win the trust of the villagers.
