The palace guards, who had gone to collect Mohini’s remains in the desert, come back empty-handed. On learning this, Rana Sa becomes apprehensive and fearful for Rajeshwari’s life. True to Rana Sa’s fears, a vengeful Mohini confronts Rajeshwari with the intention to kill her. To keep Rana Sa away, Mohini locks him out of Rajeshwari’s room. Just as Mohini strikes Rajeshwari with a sword, Rana Sa breaks into the room. A dying Rajeshwari puts an unbreakable curse on Mohini.
