Shoroju tells Rani that the guards are looking for Anandamoyee. Rani goes to the Ganges to bathe in the palanquin that Chandra had gifted her. Padma and Sukumari get annoyed after learning that Mathur has performed Chandra's last rites. When Rani returns from the Ganges, Abhay and Sukumari instigate Rani against Mathur, saying that Mathur is after the Marh property. Rani is saddened, and she feels dizzy due to the chaos caused in the family, immediately after Chandra's demise.
