Anandamoyee fails to stop Chandra from sneaking out of the house to visit Rani’s house. Jugal, Jogmaya's father, consults Chakraborty Mosai, a priest, regarding Rani’s 'kundli’, astrological birth chart, and learns that Rani is not an ordinary girl. Rakhal drops a poisonous branch into the well of Rani’s house and plans their death by the poisoned water. Rani decides to confront Ratna Thakur by bringing Jamuna's sick son to him. Ratna Thakur is startled to see Hindu Goddess Kali behind Rani.
