Jogmaya and Didimaa, after coming back to the Marh house, are informed by Jugal that Chandra is alive. Meanwhile, Pritram brings Rani inside the room to meet Chandra. Thereafter, Jugal talks to Pritram about having a grand ‘Durga Puja’. The doctor says that Chandra should go someplace far from the Marh house for some time. Later, Chandra promises Rani that he will do everything in his power to abolish the custom of ‘Sati’, a tradition where a Hindu widow immolates herself on her husband’s pyre.
