Rani breaks down after watching Chandra in an injured state. Didimaa tells Rani to stay away from Chandra. Thereafter, Putu tells Rani that Chandra got hit in the head while saving the widow from the Brahmins. Jogmaya feels that Rani is responsible for Chandra’s injury. Meanwhile, the doctor checks Chandra and says that his condition is worsening. Rani runs away from Chandra's room and on the way, slips and hits her head on the stairs. Pritram decides to call a British doctor for Chandra.
