Rani tells Mathur that punishing Ramratan would mean disrespecting his wife. Thereafter, Kumari tells Rani and the others that Jagadamba is ill and will soon give birth to her child. Biswas Moshai goes to bring a doctor with Nayeb. Ramchandra finds Mathur concerned and comforts him. Mathur asks him to let him meet Jagadamba before she is taken to the labour room. Ramchandra asks Padma to arrange the meeting. She manages to send Rani to meet the guests and brings Mathur to Jagadamba's room.
