Chandra pledges to bring an end to the tradition of ‘Sati’. Anandamoyee asks Rani to take care of Chandra. Meanwhile, Jogmaya is convinced by Sukumari, Didimaa, and Bishomoi that Chandra is unsafe with Rani. Thereafter, Nayeb informs Pritram that Makimpur is being tormented by dacoits. Chandra wants to take Rani with him to Makimpur, after being told to go there by Pritram. Nayeb orders Sardar to keep Rani and Chandra safe. Didimaa and Jogmaya blame Thakumaa for supporting Rani.
