Umacharan informs Rani that Karuna's child might die at a young age. Jagadamba and Mathur take utmost care of Karuna during her pregnancy. The day for Karuna's baby shower arrives, and Rani and other women relatives sing happily in the kitchen while preparing lavish food items. Karuna suddenly undergoes severe labour pain, and Rani quickly calls for the midwife to come for help. After a lot of pain, Karuna gives birth to a boy, but the midwife informs Rani that Karuna's child is very weak.
