Rani cries before Lord Raghubir’s idol, while Anandamoyee tries to console her. Sukumari claims that Karunamoyee’s disease is contagious. Later, a British doctor checks Karunamoyee and informs Chandra and Mathur that she is suffering from tuberculosis. Although Karunamoyee assumes that she will die soon, Mathur vows not to let her die. Chandra tells Rani about Karunamoyee’s disease and asks her not to trust Lord Raghubir. Rani prays to Lord Raghubir and sings a devotional song.
