Rani feels overwhelmed receiving Anandamoyee’s love and Chandra's support. All preparations for ‘bhaat kapor’, an important ritual where the husband vows to take all responsibility of his bride, are timely supervised by Ramtanu’s and Kalicharan’s wives. Rani refuses to accept the ‘bhaat kapor’ by Chandra and runs away in search for Anandamoyee, who was missing from the ceremony. Witnessing Rani’s thoughtless actions and sharp tongue, Didimaa tells Pritram to send Rani back to her paternal home.
