Sadananda accuses Rani of insulting the Brahmins and blames her for manipulating the villagers. Later, Sadananda’s men set the Marhs' depot at Beleghata on fire. Radhakanta blames Rani for sparking enmity between the Marhs and the Brahmins. Rani informs Radhakanta that the ‘ghat’ does not belong to the Banujjes, who never cared for the villagers. Jugal asks Pritram to send for Abhay, Pritram’s nephew. Anandamoyee informs Rani that Chandra did not want Abhay to enter the Marh house.
