Nayan leaves the temple after facing the villagers' wrath. Later, Nayan takes a dip in a pond and sees a 'banarasi', a special type of saree worn by Bengali brides. She realises that it's a vision where a bride will drown herself in the pond. Thereafter, she sets off to find the bride and save her. Elsewhere, the wife of a wealthy businessman arranges a welcoming party for her step-son, Driptobroto Basu. She hates Dripto, but has convinced Dripto's family that she loves him.
