The plot of the Gattimela TV serial focuses on three families: the Vashishta family, which is led by Shridhar and Suhasini; the Manjunath family, which is led by Parimala and Manjunath; and the Ashwath family, which is led by Padma and Ashwath. 

The names Vedanth Vashishta, Vikranth Vashishta, and Aadya all belong to three of Shridhar and Suhasini's children. Vedanth does not like girls and does not believe in marriage due to a terrible history. The Kannada romantic TV show revolves around the story of Vedanth and how he begins to feel something for Amulya but does not communicate this to her.
