Shah Rukh Khan is known as the King of Romance in Bollywood and in real life too he has one of the most romantic love stories one has ever heard. SRK and Gauri met in Delhi and after a lot of persuasions and a long courtship, Gauri accepted him as her boyfriend. Because of their difference in religion, their families were not quite happy about the union but after much convincing, they gave their blessings to the couple. The couple tied the knot on October 25, 1991, and have been going strong ever since.
Aamir Khan and Kiran Rao
Mr Perfectionist of Bollywood, Aamir Khan met his present wife Kiran Rao on the sets of the blockbuster movie, Lagaan. Initially, they were good friends but later their friendship turned into love when Aamir was going through a divorce with his previous wife, Reena Dutta. They stayed in a live-in relationship for some time before getting married in 2005. Religion was not a hurdle in their marriage and they have shown us all in the past years what a power couple they are.

Saif Ali Khan and Kareena Kapoor
Saif Ali Khan and Kareena Kapoor have been the talk of the town since they started dating in 2008. Although both worked in many films together, they fell in love on the sets of Tashan. The Pataudi prince first displayed his love for his lady through a tattoo on his arm which was Kareena’s name in Hindi. Although they belonged to different religions, it was never a problem for them. The couple had a private wedding in 2012 and today, they are blessed with two sons.
Soha Ali Khan and Kunal Kemmu
Just like her brother and her parents, Soha also fell in love with a Hindu boy and decided to have an inter-faith marriage. Soha and her husband Kunal Kemmu met on the set of Dhoondhte Reh Jaoge. They belonged to very different family backgrounds and that is why Kunal was a little hesitant to talk to Soha. But with time the couple hit the right chords and got married on January 25, 2015. They are now parents to a cute girl named Inaaya.
Riteish Deshmukh and Genelia D’Souza
Riteish Deshmukh and Genelia D’Souza are one of the cutest couples in the Bollywood industry. While Riteish belongs to a Maharashtrian Hindu family, Genelia belongs to a Christian household. The couple met when they were quite young on the sets of the film, Tujhe Meri Kasam. After nine years of relationship, they tied the knot in 2012 and are winning our hearts ever since.
Irrfan Khan and Sutapa Sikdar
Late actor Irrfan Khan met the love of his life Sutapa Sikdar during his college days. Irrfan belonged to a Muslim household in Rajasthan, whereas Sutapa is an Assamese Hindu. Their paths crossed in the National School of Drama where he was learning the art of acting and Sutapa was finishing her studies to become a writer. In their own words, they were not the conventional couple who did grand gestures for each other, but their love was a fairytale of its own. They got married in 1995 and till his last day he loved her like the first.
Suniel Dutt and Nargis
In the day and age when inter-faith marriages were rare and arranged marriage was the conventional way, actor Suniel Dutt and actress Nargis challenged the societal norms. On the set of Mother India Nargis got stuck in a ring of fire and Suniel Dutt without caring for his life went in to save her. This started the beautiful romance, but they got married in a secret ceremony in 1958 as the society would not receive their relation well. In 1959 the couple made their union known to the public and since then they were a strong example of true love.

Preity Zinta and Gene Goodenough
Preity Zinta and her husband Gene Goodenough found love in the form of friendship. They were very good friends for a long time and later that friendship turned into marriage. While Preity belongs to a Rajput family, Gene Goodenough is a Christian. The couple got married in 2016 and they decided to settle in the USA. Preity often visits India for her work.
Sanjay Dutt and Maanayata Dutt
Sanjay Dutt just like his father did not bother about religion when it came to love. Sanjay’s wife Maanayata’s real name is Dilnawaz Shaikh and she belongs to a Muslim family while he is a Hindu man. After two years of courtship, they tied the knot on February 7, 2008, and they have been growing strong with each passing day. They are proud parents to twins Shahraan and Iqra Dutt.
Priyanka Chopra and Nick Jonas
Priyanka Chopra and Nick Jonas made headlines for quite some time when they made their relationship public. The pop-star and the desi girl tied the knot in two different weddings – Catholic and Hindi in 2018, followed y multiple reception parties. Today she’s a global icon who shuffles between her work in Bollywood and Hollywood.
