14 Years Of Traffic Signal: Kunal Kemmu Celebrates The Occasion By Taking A Trip Down The Memory Lane

Kunal Kemmu recently celebrated 14 years of Traffic Signal by sharing a heartfelt post on his social media accounts.

Abhay 2 actor Kunal Kemmu is a versatile actor who is known for his interesting choice of roles. While he may not be your typical Bollywood hero, he sure is a great actor with many interesting roles in his kitty. Even his most recent film, Malang featured him in a new and different role. He recently took to Instagram and Twitter to celebrate 14 years of Traffic Singal, a film by Madhu Bhandarkar which you can watch exclusively on ZEE5, in which he played the role of ‘Silsila’ a manager who “manages” one of the traffic signals.

The film was co-written, co-produced and directed by Madhur Bhandarkar and starred Ranvir Shorey, Neetu Chandra, Kunal Kemmu and Konkana Sen Sharma. Bhadarkar won Best Director at the National Film Awards for this venture. The makeup of the film was also very well done. The film revolves around the lives of the people one sees at a traffic signal. The protagonist of the film, Silsila, played y Kunal Kemmu is a boy who grew up on the streets and sold all kinds of things before becoming the manager at the signal and collecting “hafta” or a security fee from everyone else there.

The film follows the story of how Silsila’s life gets mingled in things like murder and extortion because of his boss’ links with the mafia and dark forces. His world falls apart and he is left with no choice about what he wants to do. Kunal Kemmu is said to have prepared for the role by visiting a lot of traffic singals and intereacting with the people who live there. He observed their behaviour and took note of their lingo to play the character better.
