The Malayalam Movie 2 States directed by Jacy S Kumar tells the story of an unlikely trio, a father, his son and a grandfather.  The father and son are known for their laid-back attitude and aversion towards going to work. Their lives are overturned when the son falls in love with a girl and attracts trouble from her family.

They are made to find a solution to this problem and fix the marriage before time runs out. Filled with funny instances, the movie features veteran Malayalam actor Mukesh playing the comedy role of the father Vijayaraghavan. 1. Being the funniest father possible

The father-son duo from 2 States is one of the funniest you will ever come across in a Malayalam movie. As Vijayaraghavan (Mukesh) is lazy and not interested in working, his son Harikrishnan (Manu Pillai) also follows his footsteps. The funniest scene comes when they return from their daily game session to home.

Harikrishnan tells his father about a job offer overseas but faces his wrath for trying to leave him. The scene not only makes us laugh but is also reflective of the friendly relationship between the father and son.

2. Sushi gets the bad news from Vijayaraghavan

Harikrishnan has a friendly relationship with his father that goes quite deeper than what we think initially. Vijayaraghavan even acts as Harikrishnan’s wingman when it comes to his love life. It becomes a challenge for Harikrishnan to reveal his love for Sushi (Sharanya) as she is getting marriage proposals. Sushi soon figures out that it was Hari who is blocking her proposals mid-way. When she confronts him regarding the same, Vijayaraghavan gives her a piece of his mind. He even tells her that he is blocking the proposals as Harikrishnan is in love with her.

3. Vijayaraghavan saves Jomon

One of the funniest scenes in the movie appears when Vijayaraghavan goes to help his friend Jomon, whose girlfriend is getting engaged. Vijayaraghavan makes a mass entrance in the church and breaks off the engagement with Jomon. Their friend Vasu, who is a nervous goon also tags along with them. The scene turns hilarious when the trio is stopped on the way by several youngsters for sabotaging the engagement. They even beat up Vijayaraghavan for getting involved in unnecessary matters.

4. Vijayaraghavan proves his worth!

Harikrishnan and Sushi are made to face court procedures as her family oppose their marriage. Vijayaraghavan decides to appear in court for his son but is faced by Apappan’s disapproval. The old man even makes fun of Vijayaraghavan with a story of his client beating him up for his poor performance in court. Despite Apappan’s approval, Vijayaraghavan appears in court and wins the case for his son Harikrishnan.
